What is Naked Australians?

Naked Australians was developed with the simple aim of providing a place on the web to display beautiful, naked photography. However, after going online in late 2005, it quickly became obvious that our members wanted us to become something more. 

THE BEST PLACE TO START

From the beginning, we were deluged with e-mails requesting information about nude beaches, nude accommodation and nude events. Our members wanted to interact with each other and the opportunity to proudly declare their passion for a clothes-free lifestyle - they wanted a voice.

Today Naked Australians is a site dedicated to providing lovers of nudity with the chance to access a world of nakedness. We put people in touch with others who share their belief that nudity is healthy, natural and beautiful.

Naked Australians is a community but we are not here to preach. We simply want to encourage the expression of many points of view, even if they do not correspond with our own. The offices of Naked Australians are certainly busy ones. We pride ourselves on our original nude photography. We boast about the fact that our models are real people - ordinary, everyday souls who took a chance and did something daring.

We can get feisty when we need to. In 2006, we received media coverage for our stance against the closure of nude beaches in New South Wales and Victoria. We make no apologies for our strong stance on this issue as the closure of clothing optional beaches is a world-wide trend. The motives behind such closures are often sinister and misguided. That's why Naked Australians feels so strongly about clarifying many of the misconceptions about nudists and their lifestyles.
