So what happened at Melissa's shoot?
Melissa was my first photo shoot for Naked Australians and she was a pleasure to work with. The shoot required an extraordinarily early start as I had committments elsewhere later in the morning, Melissa never complained a bit about that nor the mosquitoes we seemed to attract for their breakfast.
We had a great time in the early morning light and a particularly funny time hiding to avoid the cyclist that for some reason found he suddenly needed to cycle around the area we were working in over and over again.
I am very pleased with the results and look forward too many more successful assignments for Naked Australians.

Second shoot was completed yesterday, and I absolutely adore the photos that I have seen. Glen is an amazing photographer, and he is excellent to work with.
At the end of the day, I was a bit tired, hungry and cranky but he just laughed at me and got me to keep working which was excellent lol.
A friend of mine did a shoot as well, and I hope that you all like her photos as well. They are a tad unusual, and not what you are used to so far on the site, but it's expressing a lot more of BOTH our personalities than my first shoot did, and I absolutely adore the photos I ahve seen.
I am building up quite a portfolio haha. I honestly recommend doing something for this site to ANYONE (over 18 that is) it is an amazing experience, and I am starting to look at my body in a completely different way. Although maybe that is just the photos we took yesterday... Sorry GLEN took. BTW Glen your wife is wonderful!

Yes Glenn has a way of making the crazy things we do seem like the most natural thing on earth - the mark of a good photographer I suppose.... and then he turns perfectly ordinary people into works of art.... anyone who can turn this little duckling into a B&W masterpiece that people have said they would have hanging on their lounge-room wall, is a master in my book...
Good on You Mel! :-) We did a crazy shoot this morning, I still cannot believe it actually took place - its all still a blurr.... but more will be revealed later! I hope we have something to show you all soon! Sometimes Mel, we just have to do those 'liberating' things... don't we ? And there will be a story behind this one!

As I am a barista and a waitress (ie make and serve really really good espresso coffee), I am thinking of doing a shoot based around waitressing...

Well, I had a thought, for some strange reason, about starting my own thread of topic. Strangely enough, this may have no relevance at all to much of anything.
I very recently decided to try and get fit and healthy, so I can be a little bit more body proud. Well... I discovered that you have to have motivation to do that. I have none. I have to admit though, looking at some peoples photos on here, that I have gotten some motivation from that.
It is very confronting, but also liberating to see photos of yourself naked. When I live by myself, I tend to be naked or semi naked a lot of the time. Having had an eating disorder for many years, that is my little way of rebelling against societies stereotyping about what a female body should look like.
I would love for the young children today to not have such bad role models, especially with body image. In a way, sites such as this, that show everything as it is, with no editing are setting a good example for the generations to come. To prove to them that there is no "normal" and that every body is completely different.
On a lighter note, does anyone know where I could get a recipe for chai tea mixture? Just the herbs and amounts and such, because I want to try and make some...

The following was posted by Melissa in another thread many months ago. Admin felt it was important to be copied into her official thread so her fans can read her account of her shoot, why she did it and how she felt afterwards.
I am Melissa (no not my real name by the way).
I did the photoshoot at about 7 am in the morning in a reserve next to modern suburbia woot woot!
My reasons for doing the shoot may be slightly different to other peoples, becasue while I love the nude form, I am not completely comfortable stripping in front of absolutely everyone (which is kind of the purpose of the photos isn't it?)
But yes, back to my topic. Why I did it, is becasue I have had an eating disorder for over 5 years, and I have managed to keep my wieght above 50kg for the first time in that 5 years.
To me it was celebrating a huge milestone in my life. and coming to terms with the fact that while I may not ahve a perfect body, and in reality never will, I am normal.
I wanted to show people that every person is different, that you don't ahve to look like a ralph model to be beautiful...
The shoot itself was fun, we almost gave an extremely old bike rider a heart attack after he saw me naked hehe, and a few bike riders decided to circle the area we were taking the photos a few times more than they really needed, but I am doing another shoot, and hope to do more work with Naked Australians in the next few years.

Yes I am an unoffical nudist. Anyone who comes to my house has to knock before they walk in for fear of seeing naked people.
I will be doing more photos for the site, and in a few months, will possibly be becoming a model for other publications.

Jason this is not a porno site. i think you should consider that when posting comments. not every model is comfortable with the shots you are wanting to see. i think you should respect the models including melissa a lot more than you are showing in your responses. it takes a lot of courage for someone to do a nude shoot especially in melissa's.
she has done well to appear nude with her background. well done melissa you deserve better comments than the ones jason is giving out.

I think you are completely missing the point of this website, and the photos that I had taken. Michael and Jonno are quite correct when they say that if you want photos of a girl with her legs spread, that you should go to a porn site. I had the two oppostie shoots done. One was to celebrate being in control of a severe eating disorder. The second represented to me, the struggle that I went though for years with depression, and anorexia. Maybe I chose the wrong medium to celebrate overcoming those struggles, but at the time, it felt like a natural thing to do.
To answer a question from someone else- When I am at home, without my housemates, I am most definitely a nudist.

I'm 22 now, turning into a big girl! I'm definitely not taking stick from anyone, I've worked too hard to get to where I am, and it's still a huge struggle. I haven't done any photos for any other publications, but I'm definitely much more tattooed and pierced than I was when I did the shoot. I'm currently studying a double degree at uni too! So things are going... relatively ok. In a long term relationship now, he knows about the photos and is supportive of my decisions. Nice work getting more models too!
