Listen to the teacher here.

Sydney teacher Lynne TziolasA Sydney primary school teacher has been sacked for participating in a magazine nude photo shoot with her partner. Lynne Tziolas, a teacher at Naraweena Public School on the Northern Beaches, was dismissed last week by the New South Wales Department of Education after a complaint from a parent. Mrs Tziolas appeared in the sealed section of Cleo magazine with her husband and nine other couples talking about their sex lives.

She has begun taking legal action against the Education Department for unfair dismissal. "As teachers we're expected to be somewhat superhuman and not have a private life," she said.

It seems that no matter who you are, one is always looked down upon for a decision they make. I    know that a person in a professional field has a big impact on an individual, but really should they be made superhuman?  It says a parent discovered the picture... so i wonder if the parent should be looked down upon because he or she looked at the magazine. I mean, shouldn't a parent have a mark against  them if they are raising children?

I know that a teacher is suppose to be upheld as an outstanding member of the community, but one would think the teacher here involved used good judgement, i mean at least it wasn't in a provocative sexual way, or so i would assume. What if it were the parent who disovered this picture posing... would something had been done about that????

A Sydney primary school teacher who was suspended from duties after posing nude in a magazine is allowed to teach again.

Lynne Tziolas was stood down by the New South Wales' Education Department last month after appearing naked with her husband in a photo in the sealed section of a woman's magazine.

Along with nine other couples, they discussed their sex lives.

Some parents from Naraweena Public School complained to the department, and Ms Tziolas was suspended from teaching duties on full pay, pending the outcome of an inquiry.

The department has now agreed she can resume teaching in another school in the system.

It will not confirm any details of the inquiry's findings, describing them as confidential.

Yet a spokesman says the department believes its actions in suspending Ms Tziolas was warranted, given the concerns of parents about her conduct.

I can understand the parents  concern, however  the teacher posing nude does not  have any affect on how she teaches her class. I know that a techer is  supposed to hold  a high  standing positive aspect for the community and the classroomn, but   even teachers should have a right to a life. I am glad she got the  right to teach again.

Hello Jason,

All due respect to you, i don't think age has  anything to do with the subject of her getting fired.  However since you did bring it up, age has nothing to do with whether  two people can find happiness.  As long as people are lovig and not hating or killing... why should it matter?

Jason June 20, 2008, 4:07 pm

I believe it should matter

he is too old for her

she is too young for him

Jason June 20, 2008, 5:19 pm

Its complete BS for anyone to have to live to there career. Its only now after changing proffessions that i now can follow my idea of another shoot (my prior employer frowned down on me to doing a shoot whilst working with them) Hope this young and proffessional teacher gives them what they deserve. And good luck that she has a forfilling sex life!!!!

I agree with you 100 percent Angus. I am sorry your previous employer frowned upon posing and i can understand the situation you were faced with. I wondered why you had been away for so long. Perhaps one of your greatest male fans,

ron
