Some years ago I decided to take the plunge and finally go to a nude beach. Had subscribed to many nudist magazines, plenty of nude time at home and in secluded places but with strangers, no yet. One fine summers day I finally got to Sunnside Beach in Victoria. Very nervous at first, everyone seemed to be looking at me, large proportion male to females, everyone looking a me. Well I said to myself, just get down to it. Found a spot, not too close to anyone, dropped the dacks and here I am. Just great, freedom in public. Had a great day, but being fair skinned, kept up the sunscreen, didn't want too many burns to go home with. Have been back many times since then and Alexandria Bay in Noosa, which was great.
It still is an interesting expeience everytime I go. We all look at each other. I would prefer to have more females there to make the place feel more 'normal', a reflection of our population.
The other interesting part is conversation, I tried to start up a conversation with the guy next to me, he's not interested, does he think I'm trying to hit on him? which I'm not. Just want to have a chat. I think there are lots of guys there, without the wives, girlfiriends for whatever reason, are we frightened of saying hello, share some conversation with a stranger without fear of maybe this guy wants more than conversation. In the end I just enjoy the freedom, the sun on my skin and refreshing swims. How was your first Nude Beach experience?
Hi RJ
I went to a nudist beacj for my first time many years ago and I felt sick in the stomach. My boyfriend at the time had dragged me along. He said it was for nature but I knew and he knew that he wanted to experience a thrill from seeing other men looking at his 'woman'.
I stripped off and swam in the water and I have to admit it felt delightful. I was oggled, there is no question of that. There were definitely men who got a thrill from seeing me and maybe this is especially because, like RJ says, there were very few women around. I was by far the youngest.
I enjoyed the day though. I was a bit put off by some of the men who stared very obviously and by the very well toned and fit young men who paraded around me like peacocks strutting their stuff. But generally it was a great experience. I still do the nudist thing every now and then especially in my backyard.
Hello RJ,
i can see where you are coming from... its funny a guy can be comfortable with his nudism, but have a complete stranger try to have a conversation with him usually sends warning signs to him only because some men think that a guy or even girl wants more.. i am sure that is true for some, but there are those decent mature adults who see it for what it would be, a friendship.
My first nude experience was done on a dare.. i dropped my pants in front of a lot of schoolmates during a basketball game at my high school when i was 17. I really havnt had a full fledged experience yet...lol
welcome to the group
sincerely
ron
Hi to RJ and seattle beauty and wecome to the forum.
i have been a nudist for many years now and i can still remember my first nude beach experience. i was single at the time and had only gone nude at home and out of the way places but only bymyself. it was a small unoffical nude beach at bowen QLD. htis beach is well signed for an unoffical nude beach. i started the walk down to the beach and got to the point of no return which is a big rock with a nude male and female painted on the rock stating from here on you will encounter nudity.
my heart started to race as i was about to go nude around other nude people for the first time. i was hoping that the beach would have enough people on it to perhaps meet someone to talk to about nudism but there was only one other guy there. so i stripped off and lay on the beach for a while and then went for a swim and that i will never forget. if you havent gone swimming nude than do it. it is such an amazing feeling to have the water directly touch the parts of your body that are normally covered by clothes. words cannot describe the feeling.
so my first nude beach experience was a good one and its a shame that you both have had some negative experience from your first time. nude beaches are in general a great place to be and meet other like minded people. RJ you said you went to alex bay. i have beena few times now and the best time to go there is in march when they have the beach olympics. (i won the best bum comp one year) back to the story. there are heaps of freindly people that go to alex and i am sure that you would be able to meet someone just like yourself to make friends with.
seattle beauty you mentioned that you felt like you were being watched and paraded around. this is unfortunate but please dont let tarnish your view of nudism. sometimes you get the wrong people at nude beaches i know i have had once before but luckily it wasnt my first time at a nude beach. my advice is go to a nude resort and get to know other nudists becuse it really is a wonderful lifestlye. its good to see that you are still going nude at home.
anyway to both of you good on you for giving it a go and i am glad that you both still like the nude way of life despite your little problems. who knows in time we may find you on the pages of naked australians like me

Hi jason. yes thats the one i am talking about. it is usually held around the middle of march and is becomming a big event with around 500 nudists attending. it is well worth having a look if you are in that area around march.
