Antonio met me to do his shoot on a very cold winter's day a few days after the drama of the Pasha Bulker grounding. The location we had decided on had suddenly become more like a main street as they were bringing all the wrecked cars in from around the city and storing them on the site.
He was a good sport about the whole shoot and put up with the constraints of the environment we found ourselves in without complaint. Even when the rain came, he soldiered on.
I always admire someone who can, like Antonio, show a side of their life that most of us keep hidden. We all have our public face and we all have our private face. Antonio's photos, as with a lot of our models, allow us as the viewer to see a little glimpse into another facet of who he is.
