It's the poll question that has sparked some interesting e-mails from our viewers, so we felt it best to open an official thread on the subject - how do you feel when viewing naked photos of the same sex?

Our discussion here at the Naked Australians offices has been interesting. We are amazed at how many men are prepared to admit they get curious when looking at other naked men or, at least, that they are comfortable enough to look without becoming embarrassed or "grossed out".

If the same poll was published ten years ago, we don't believe many men at all would have been prepared to confess a curiousity about the same sex. How far we've come as a society! Sure, there is still a fear of being seen as "gay" or a "fag" but, certainly, society is shifting on the matter. More straight men seem willing to happily befriend gay people and, if our poll is accurate, more straight men are willing to explore other parts of their sexualities.

Well i agree with you that most men are starting to feel a little more comfortable about viewing other males naked.  When i came out of the closet to my parents in 1981 whilst still a teenager.. 15 to be exact, you would have thought i said i killed someone. Accepting my sexuality was never a problem with me and i came to the conclusion that if my parents didn't accept that was their problem.. not mine.  Straying off the forum topic here.. sorry.  One wouldn't even admit to the thought of looking at another nude male if the other person viewing was male.. it was just too dangerous .. I always try to tell other guys... you can find another guy attractive without being in any way sexually attractive to him.  You may find his hairstyle cool and may think to yourself.... i wonder what i would look like with that hairstyle?   A guy may have a body that's full of muscles and another guy  may think about gaining some muscle because it is appealing.  There are some guys who will never think of crossing the line to view another naked male.. does this mean they are uncomfortable?  Not necessarily.  He just may not have a desire whatsoever to view another guy in the nude form.  The world has become much more accepting of same sex admiration.. and i think it's about time.. but is it for everyone?  No.  I enjoy this site because it is open to everyone.. while i am gay i do admire the naked female, not it doesn't mean i am sexually turned on... Have i gotten sexually turned on by some of the straight male models on the site.. not in the least.   Do i find some of them extremely hot.. ABSOLUTELY....lol. Finding them hot and finding them sexually yummy.. are two sides of the scale...lol. 

I would like to thank the straight male models here for being comfortable enough to pose for the stie and accepting the fact that gay men will view them..

Oh by the way i choose the last decision... even though i don't get equally turned on by both sexes.. i just couldn't find my reason.. i find both sexes beautiful and can admire nudity without a sexual response.

The first naked male I ever photographed was for Naked Australians.......it was bit weird for me at first especially doing the close ups!

Now I never give it a thought and always find it easy to admire a great body no matter who own's it. I think some of our male models can be very justified in being proud of their appearance and physique.

Guys like Mr. X and Chris I think are truly beautiful they are young men at the absolute peak of life and it shows in their imagery.

i still think girls are best though....... because they are all soft and cuddly!

I've been quiet lately because I was overseas on holiday. But now I'm back.

I'm not going to say which of the above options I selected in the poll.

However, posing for NA was the first experience of this kind I have had. The photographer was GMan, and while he didn't mention me specificaly, he did a very professional job of my photo shoot. It's evident that I found the experience erotic, but this was more because I could imagine how the pics would turn out when published and I liked the idea of other people seeing them. I would have felt much the same had the photographer been female.

It's been almost two years since I did that shoot and I have often wondered whether I would do another. Recently I have felt more inclined to do one, but I can't see the point unless it's significanly different to the first one. Therefore, it would probably be outside rather than in the studio, although I would be open to an interesting studio set. It would probably also involve one or more other models. They could be of either gender, and would not have to be naked. Indeed, the idea of being the only naked person in the shoot is quite erotic.

I like the small number of multi model shoots that NA has done - the two Bad Santas and the Big Surprise are my favourites. I like them because they have a story, rather than being a series of photographs of one model. Several ideas for a multi person shoot have been kicked around in various parts of the Forum, but these have gone nowhere.

So, if there are any volunteers out there, or anyone has any ideas, then please let me know.
