We'll the Naked Bike ride has been and gone for another year in "Nudecastle" with plenty of fanfare to draw attention to the cause. Around fifteen cyclist's braved the streets of Newcastle. Both Male and Female riders rode through the main streets of the city blowing whistle's and trumpets with a myiad of colourful enviromental slogans painted onto their bodies. The ride went along very successfully until the the police arrived; three riders were stopped/arrested in the street and details were taken with the threat of consequence's later. "Hopefully the police will see the harmless fun of what we do" said one the riders "after all the way a handful of local yobbo's drove along shouting extremely abusive lanuage at the cyclist's was far more offensive than a few people riding naked having fun and doing no harm to anyone".
A local bride will certainly have some great wedding photograph's as the riders all rode across the front of city hall where they were having their offical wedding photo's taken. The wedding party thought it was great lark to have the cyclist's in their photo's and no doubt are still talking about it now at the reception.
