POLICE have charged a man with public nuisance and willful exposure after he allegedly "mooned" the Queen during her visit to Brisbane with an Australian flag between the cheeks of his bare backside.

Liam Warriner from Sydney was released on bail this afternoon and is expected to front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

Speaking after his release from watchhouse, the 22-year-old said he was unloading shipping containers when his workmates dared him to do it.

"I mooned the Queen," he said.

"Everybody's seen someone's butt, come on. You see it on TV all the time, you see it in movies, it's accepted in PG rated programming these days, but yet it's an offence to the Queen."

Warriner said the Queen waved at him and that's when his pants came down.

But he claimed his genitals were not visible to anyone during his 50m run.

"Not the front at all. There were loads of people there to see the Queen. I wouldn't want all of them seeing (that)," he said.

Warriner said he is also part of the Occupy anti-elite protest movement and had taken part in the protest in Sydney.

"I'd like to say we are the 99 per cent, human need over corporate greed and we won't accept this any longer," he said.

Liam did nothing wrong. Being nude should be ok, no matter who it's in front of. I doubt any member of the public brought the complaint, but that charges were brought by police. The Occupy Movement is against corporate greed and the injustices of the rich and powerful. The protests we see around the world are to make those in authority accountable for their deeds, deeds which cause every conceivable human suffering and have done so for thousands of years. Whether it's Naked Australians, Occupy Wall Street, gay marriage or my simple campaign for public nudity, what we're witnessing is the beginning of a revolution unlike any the world has seen before. Stuart.

oh come on now..so he mooned the queen.... big friggin deal...lol sure she is the QUEEN, but are you going to tell me that she has never in her life seen a naked bum???? Surely she isnt that frigid....lol   It's the same everywhere in the world.. one gets arrested for showing themselves in public...it is profoundly stupid.  There are so many things in the world nowadays to worry about..... worry about that and not about who shows his or her bum in public. The human race is soooooooooooooooooo  uptight with public nudity and i think its time society says who cares................  of course i am sure i cant change rules...lol   Good for you Liam you go boy... Just like you Stuart.. were you doing anything wrong.. no.. did you engage in sexual activity in public  no.... the world needs to get off it's high horse.. seriously and start doing some thing about the things that need to be done.

THE man accused of "mooning" the Queen during her visit to Brisbane is confident the wilful exposure charge against him will be dropped.

Liam Lloyd Warriner, 22, from Sydney was not in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today for a mention of the exposure and public nuisance charges against him.

His appearance was excused at his last court date where he was accused of dropping his pants and mooning the Queen on Kingsford Smith Drive at Eagle Farm last month.

Mr Warriner's lawyers have already said their client planned to plead guilty to the public nuisance charge but would fight the count of wilful exposure.

Defence counsel John Paul Mould today said he had had a case conference with police and wanted the matter adjourned for "mutual disclosure".

He then asked for police to provide a single witness statement to the defence before the end of the month and the case was adjourned until December 14.

Speaking from Sydney, Mr Warriner said he hoped to get a fine for the public nuisance charge and was confident the second charge would be dropped.

"I know that what I did doesn't constitute wilful exposure," he said.

"I'm 100 per cent certain it'll be dropped."

The exposure charge alleges the 22-year-old wilfully exposed his genitals without reasonable excuse, but Mr Warriner said he had video evidence to prove otherwise.

"It clearly shows what happened, there were no genitals," he said.

"And it will show that it wasn't even like in an offensive way."
