PRESENTING the photo that frankly left Confidential befuddled and bemused -- can someone please tell us how it is that agent Max Markson keeps reeling in the good looking ladies?
It must be the overpowering scent of money or perhaps this is the evidence that Markson really can sell anything -- T-shirts for swinging 1970s voters with photos of Malcolm Fraser on the front and Gough Whitlam on the back, the tale of the Rockhampton teenager Natasha Ryan who hid in a cupboard for five years, Corey Worthington and, most transparently of all, himself.
Art lovers visiting Tim Olsen's Paddington Gallery over the weekend may have regarded this "artwork" as something as an aberration to Olsen's usually impeccable art catalogue but in fact the photo of the five naked male contestants who star in the debut season of The Celebrity Apprentice was installed only briefly and to raise money for a homeless youth charity.
The picture is of league star Wendell Sailor, AFL's Shane Crawford, model Didier Cohen, dancer Jason Coleman and Markson -- all nude but for a hat concealing their masculinity.
The picture fetched $5000 after Camilla Deague, daughter of David Deague who owns Melbourne's Art Series Hotel Group, put up her hand. It is to be hung south of the border.
