Could Jesus be Naturism's ultimate pin-up boy? Some say He was nude on the Cross, others that He wore a loin cloth. What do you think? Was He stripped bare at Calvary and, if so, do crucifixes hide His shame? Stuart.

Is the core value of naturism the concept of freedom? If it is, surely Jesus' crucifixion can, in no way, represent the naturist lifestyle.

Wasn't Jesus forcibly stripped of his robes before he was crucified? Wasn't he denied his freedom to choose? Was he naked that Friday to absorb the sun and the Earth or was he naked because his detractors believed it would bring him great shame?

During his life, didn't Jesus wear robes? We've never heard of any evidence that he lead a nudist lifestyle.

Sorry Stuart - can't see why you'd think Jesus is a symbol of naturism. Although we're confident he'd probably support your choice to lead your lifestyle.

The question is, was He nude? If so, crucifixes should depict a naked Jesus, whether hung round the neck or displayed in churches (we'll allow mosques and synagogues to retain their modesty). Stuart.
